Aparri, Cagayan – In honor of Women’s Month, the Aparri Polytechnic Institute and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office joined forces to serve the Aparrianos by equipping them with the skills and knowledge in Technology and Livelihood Training for Dessert-Making, which will eventually help them earn a living. 

       This initiative is part of TESDA’s ongoing efforts to empower women through skills development and provide them with opportunities to enhance their livelihoods. The program highlights the commitment to supporting women’s empowerment and underscores the importance of skills training in fostering economic development. 

       Kudos to the local officials, particularly Honorable Mayor Bryan’s leadership and his spouse, Hon. Richelle Chan, who spearheaded the event. Their efforts demonstrate the importance of local government support in empowering women and fostering economic development through skills training. 

      The success of this training can inspire similar initiatives in other regions, helping more women across the country to gain valuable skills and improve their quality of life.

Aparri, Cagayan – The Heart Month celebration at TESDA-Aparri Polytechnic Institute indeed reflects a strong commitment to promoting mental health awareness and holistic well-being. Nurse Mary Joyce F. Lorenzo’s talk on Mental Health Awareness during the Monday Convocation sets a vital tone for the entire month. Addressing mental health openly and providing education on coping strategies and support resources can have a significant impact on individuals’ overall wellness.

       Zumba Day, sponsored by the Diploma in Hospitality Services Batch 3, adds a lively and energetic component to the festivities. Physical activity, such as Zumba, not only benefits cardiovascular health but also boosts mood and reduces stress. It’s wonderful to see the community coming together to celebrate heart health in such an enjoyable way.

       The “Finding the Lost Heart” activity is both imaginative and heartwarming. By giving participants the opportunity to connect and form new friendships, it fosters a sense of belonging and support within the community. Congratulations to Roi Vincent and Ruby for finding their perfect match and winning the prize.

       Including a Free Movie Day with films exploring love and relationships adds another dimension to the celebration, offering entertainment while encouraging reflection on different aspects of love.

       Initiatives like these not only promote unity but also create a positive and uplifting environment for everyone involved. With the tagline “TESDA with a HEART,” it’s evident that the institute is dedicated to nurturing not only vocational skills but also the emotional well-being of its members.

Aparri, Cagayan – The initiative led by TESDA-Aparri Polytechnic Institute, in collaboration with CEZA and Sta. Ana Fishery National High School, truly embodies a comprehensive approach to community empowerment and sustainable development. By offering training programs such as “Sta. Ana SustainaFish” focusing on fish smoking, fish siomai, fish balls, and organic concoction training.

      The inclusion of street vendors, as well as TVL students and teachers from various schools within Sta. Ana, ensures that a diverse range of community members benefit from the programs. This holistic approach aligns with the broader goals of community development and environmental sustainability.

Aparri, Cagayan – The visit by Mr. Lindo John Ramos, the ALS Focal Person for DepEd, the Education Program Supervisor, and Ms. Richelyn De La Cruz to the Acting Administrator’s office highlights a collaborative effort to enhance educational opportunities for ALS students in the Aparri East District.

          Their request for Hilot (Wellness Massage) NC II training reflects a proactive approach to equipping students with practical skills that can directly benefit their livelihoods. The immediate approval from A.P.I.’s Acting Administrator Eduardo L. Escobar, Ph.D., underscores the institution’s commitment to meeting the needs of its students and supporting their professional development.

Aparri, Cagayan – Trainees from Hilot (Wellness Massage) NC II rendered FREE services to the employees of the Municipal Government of Aparri as part of their work experience and also fosters a culture of well-being within the workplace. The trainees can gain confidence and proficiency in their craft. Moreover, providing these services to employees can promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve overall morale in the workplace.

Aparri, Cagayan – TESDA-Aparri Polytechnic Institute through the leadership of its Acting Administrator Eduardo L Escobar, Ph.D. acknowledged and thanked the ARD for sharing his precious time visiting the Institute, and his expertise on the preparation, monitoring and evaluating various plans, activities and programs of the school.

ARD Ibay also inspected workshops and left the staff and trainees words of encouragement and points for improvements.

Aparri, Cagayan – TESDA-APARRI POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE’s IDP Team, chaired by its Acting Administrator Eduardo L. Escobar, Ph.D., started editing its Institutional Development Plan for presentation to all the employees as the next step.
     The school’s IDP was crafted by the acting administrator, during the conduct of the administrators’ conference and presented to the team for their comments, suggestions, and additional recommendations.
     The IDP sets the direction of the school for the years 2024-2028.
