Ms. Fatima G. Carag, Chief of the Regional Operations Division of TESDA Region II met with Ms. Nida Tumaliuan of the Department of Trade and Industry in the region to discuss the TESDA DOS Project STORE or Special Training on Rural Entrepreneurship.
The Project STORE shall prioritize the entrepreneurship development of TESDA Technology Institution graduates in Bread and Pastry Production NC II, Barista NC II, Cookery NC II, Food and Beverage Services NC II and Organic Agriculture Production NC II through the entrepreneurship training to be provided by the DTI. DTI shall also provide post training assistance to the graduates through micro financing institution and/or provision of start up capital and facilitate their business registration should they venture into business.
TESDA and DTI soon formalize partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement.
15 Modernized Public Utility Buses operated by the Partas Company Incorporated were launched today at Robinson’s Place, Tuguegarao City.
After receiving its provisional franchise from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board-Region II, the bus line is all set for its provincial operation en route to Sta Teresita, Cagayan and Metro Manila.
TESDA has been supportive of this undertaking through provision of skills training to those drivers and operators who are affected by the modernization program.
Supportive to the TIENDA NA TESDA DOS Project of TESDA Region II which aims to showcase the outputs and produce of trainees as a result of the skills training that they acquired from TESDA, the Southern Isabela College of Arts and Trades (SICAT) proudly showcased the outputs of their trainees in Commercial Cooking NC II.
These special Butchis became an instant hit as it sold 300 boxes last Valentine’s Day. What made it more special is that these are a product of the collaborative research and innovation of the trainer together with the trainees.
This initiative is also supportive to TESDA’s goal to develop trainees into successful entrepreneurs when they put into practice the skills training that they have acquired from TESDA.

TESDA together with Leiden University in The Netherlands, Isabela State University (ISU), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Local Government Unit of San Mariano and the Mabuwaya Foundation unified their efforts to save the world’s rarest crocodile species, the Philippine Crocodile.
TESDA vowed to provide training assistance in Carpentry and Masonry for the construction of the second phase of the conservation center as well as livelihood training for indigenous peoples living in the area where the Philippine Crocodile also lives.
