TESDA Cagayan Provincial Office Conducted Series of Consultative Meetings with Stakeholders from the 1st and 2nd Districts of Cagayan Province

TESDA Cagayan Provincial Office conducted series of Consultative Meetings with stakeholders from the 1st and 2nd Districts of Cagayan Province composed of the Liga ng mga Barangay Presidents, SK Federation Presidents, Community Training and Employment Coordinators, and Alternative Learning System Coordinators held on February 5 and 7, 2020 at the Aparri Polytechnic Institute and Lasam Institute of Technology, respectively.

 

These meetings aimed for the furtherance of TVET in the province through strengthened partnerships with stakeholders who are key players in TVET. With their active involvement in the implementation of the various programs of TESDA, the TESDA Cagayan team headed by its able Provincial Director Romeo O. Talosig, hopes to achieve its targets for the year and be able to reach out to more clients across all social sectors.

TESDA DOS Regional STAR Program Onsite Validation started to roll-out yesterday with the end view to ensure that TESDA schools in the region will be able to successfully hurdle the evaluation.

 

The STAR Program evaluation is one of TESDA’s mechanism to ensure the quality of programs, training delivery and other services through a third-party evaluation.

 

TESDA DOS is also preparing for APACC evaluation and accreditation with the target that is six (6) TTI’s will be certified until 2021.

 

Furthermore, the TTI’s are also on the initial stage of preparing for ISO 9001:2015 Accreditation.

TWSP Scholars in Driving NC II give back to mother nature through a Tree Planting Activity held last January 24, 2020 in Aglipay, Quirino. Together with the TESDA Quirino Provincial Office staff headed by Provincial Marissa T. Alcantara, the 18 scholar graduates planted at least one tree as a sign of support for the realization of TESDA DOS’ Project Nature Caregiver which mandates all scholars in the region to plant a tree as after completing their training.(ctto PD Marissa Alcantara)

1st TESDA DOS Regional Research Congress Kicks Off

TESDA Region II holds its 1st Regional Research Congress at the Lasam Institute of Technology, Lasam, Cagayan.

 

The 3-day Congress aims to capacitate TESDA trainers to improve and enhance their research capabilities as they venture into various applied and technological research projects. They will also present their research papers and proposals before a panel of evaluators from renowned State Colleges and Universities in the country.

 

The Congress which is participated by the trainers and staff from the six TESDA Technology Institutions will run from January 29-31, 2020. (Photos grabbed from TESDA-LIT)

This is in compliance to Secretary Isidro S. Lapeña’s directive for all TESDA Technology Institutions in the country to establish their Mini Organic Farms. In fact, the ISAT Mini Organic Farm serves as the Model Farm for all TTIs to emulate.

 

This is also in support to the Masaganang Lambak ng Cagayan Program of the region in support to agriculture and in order to ensure food security and food sustainability.
