Aparri Polytechnic Institute – Mr. Vhermalee Tacus from Allacapan, Cagayan is a trainee of Tesda Aparri Polytechnic Institute in SMAW NCII with Mr. Jay Unista as his trainer. He is now employed as Metal Fabricator Welder in New Zealand.

Aparri, Cagayan – On June 1, the newly TESDA’S Regional Director Vince Aljon A. Cifra’s official visit to the Municipal Government of Aparri, along with Provincial Director Romeo O. Talosig an Aparriano, led a courtesy visit organized by the Aparri Polytechnic Institute under the leadership of Eduardo L Escobar Ph.D., Acting Vocational School Administrator.
TESDA Regional Director expressed his gratitude to Mayor Bryan Chan for warmly receiving the courtesy visit, demonstrating his commitment to fostering a partnership between TESDA and the local government. This collaboration is essential for promoting TVET and ensuring the development of a skilled and empowered workforce in Aparri.
By working together with the local government and other stakeholders, TESDA aims to achieve its vision of a city with a competent workforce that will contribute to the growth and prosperity of the town. This visit marks an important milestone in those ongoing efforts and signifies the dedication of all involved parties toward realizing this shared objective.
Aparri, Cagayan – On June 1, 2023, Regional Director Vincent Aljon A. Cifra also visited the Aparri Polytechnic Institute (API), one of the TESDA Administered Schools (TAS) which is situated in the northernmost part of Cagayan.
Dir. Cifra had a meeting with the personnel led by the Acting Administrator Mr. Eduardo Escobar.
Meeting the personnel for the first time, RD. Cifra shared TESDA Region II’s vision as “A vibrant and responsive TVET ecosystem in Region II with excellence standards,” underscoring that programs and activities of all operating units in the region should be aligned with the regional vision that was developed in lieu of TESDA’s national vision and the Cagayan Valley Regional Development Plan (CVRDP).
Additionally, RD also said encouraged the personnel to keep doing what they do best and always strive to Deliver Optimum Service to the clients.

BJMP LAL-LO – The collaboration between Aparri Polytechnic Institute and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology – Lallo Municipal Jail is indeed a commendable initiative that had the potential to change lives and contribute to building a safer nation.
Through these skills training programs empowered PDL by equipping them with practical knowledge, vocational skills, and personal development tools. This empowerment fosters self-worth, confidence, and a sense of purpose, reducing the likelihood of reoffending and facilitating successful reintegration into society. These programs enhance their emotional intelligence, decision-making abilities, and interpersonal skills. By gaining these competencies, PDL become better equipped to navigate challenges and make positive choices, both during their incarceration and after release.

ICYM | Recognizing the growing demand for visually appealing dishes, the specialized training program aimed to equip trainers with the expertise needed to teach fruit and vegetable carving techniques .
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) through the Aparri Polytechnic Institute (API) takes a creative leap by upskilling trainers and stakeholders in the art of Fruit and Vegetable Carving. This initiative was conducted May 22, 2023, at the Altasco Bistro, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. Recognizing the growing demand for visually appealing dishes, the specialized training program aimed to equip trainers with the expertise needed to teach fruit and vegetable carving techniques effectively for the purpose of including the said skill in the curricula of Cookery NC II and Food and Beverage Services NC II qualifications.
Speaking about the program, Regional Director Vincent Aljon A. Cifra, emphasized the importance of embracing creativity and innovation in the food and tourism industry. He stated that by upskilling trainers and stakeholders in fruit and vegetable carving, we are fostering innovativeness and creativity in food preparation and presentation: an indicator of a vibrant, responsive, and excellent TVET ecosystem. Furthermore, he added that the initiative reflects TESDA’s commitment to empowering individuals and ensuring the sustainability and growth of the food and tourism industry.
The training program is conducted by API through its TTI Advisory Council (TAC) in coordination with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Cagayan Chapter.
