In view of the Compliance Audit of UTPRAS Registered Programs and Accredited Assessment Centers, TESDA Region II has scheduled the conduct of the Calibration Session for UTPRAS Auditors and focals.

The activity is conducted prior to the start of the audit in order for members of the Compliance Audit Team to have a common understanding on the audit standards and procedures and ensure timely submission of audit reports.

TESDA DOS conducts a 2-day Reconciliation Workshop on CY 2019 Funds from January 8-9, 2020 at TESDA Regional Office II, Tuguegarao City. 

Accountants and financial analysts from TESDA Technology Institutions and Provincial Offices actively participate in the preparation of year-end Financial Reports.

As a Christmas and New Year Celebration of all TESDA Staff in Cagayan Valley, a Masquerade Party was held in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

The party was graced by Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Jail Band while all the staff arrived with artistic and colorful masks.

Coincided to the said event is the awarding of winner in the TESDA DOS Short Film Festival. Team Quirino emerged as runaway winner in the Provincial Office Category wile Isabela School of Arts and Trades bagged most of the awards in the School Category including the Best Film.

In the Dance Competition, Team Regional Office snatched the top prize while Lasam Institute of Technology dominated the choral competition.

The retirees were also honored in the event.

In his message, ARD Demetrio Pascua Anduyan Jr., landed lauded the efforts and dedication of all staff for and impresive 2019 performance. He further said that this 2019 they embarked in preparing the runway and TESDA DOS is now ready for take off.

TESDA Cagayan Valley, the first to held a Short Film Festival that premiers in cinema staged awarding ceremony yesterday coincided with their Masquerade Ball held in Nueva Vizcaya.

The award winners are as follows:

A regional summit on Poverty Reduction, Livelihood and Employment was held last Deceber 20, 2019 at the Function Hall of the Isabela School of Arts and Trades. The summit was organized by TESDA, the head of the said cluster.

The speakers during the summit are from NEDA, DOLE, DA, Philippine Army and TESDA. The speakers presented the region’s situationer with respect to their work coverage. ARD Demetrio Pascua Anduyan Jr. in his message said that the real enemy is the crippling poverty in the countryside. As a result, he urged that all the agencies to collaborate to come up with relevant and responsive programs to create sustainable and developed communities.

As a response, te PRLEC Members signed a Pledge of Commitment too help create better communities for the people. Meanwhile, Dir. Diosdado Escalante, DDG Michael Velarde’s representative landed te said undertaking and committed the full support of TESDA Central Office in the region’s PRLEC programs and project.

Film entries in the TESDA DOS Short Film Festival debut in Northstar Mall Cinemaplex in the City of Ilagan, Isabela.

The first of its kind in history, the films featuring the success stories of TESDA Alumni were portrayed by TESDA DOS Staff themselves. The staff of TESDA Training Institutions (TTI’s) and in the Provincial Offices are the casts in the said films.

Prior to the cinema exhibition, a grand red carpet entrance was held with a ribbon cutting done by Dir. Diosdado Escalante of the CLGU’s and TESDA DOS’ very own TVET Ambassadress.

The awarding ceremonies for the filmfest winners will be held on December 23, 2019 at the Nueva Vizcaya Convention Center, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

More than 800 graduates on training programs on Executive Order No. 70 attend the Mass Graduation being held at the San Mariano Convention Center, San Mariano, Isabela.

The activity is an offshoot of the different training programs conducted by TESDA Isabela Provincial Office together with the Isabela School of Arts and Trades to Indigenous People and residents of the Municipalities of San Mariano and Benito Soliven in Isabela, two of the towns in Region 2 that are identified as conflict affected areas.

The activity was graced by the Poverty Reduction Livelihood and Employment Cluster (PRLEC) Coordinator for Luzon, Dir. Diosdado C. Escalante. Dir. Escalante shared that TESDA, as Chair of the PRLEC, shall continue to support the implementation of Executive Order No. 70 or the Whole of Nation Approach to End Local Communist Armed Conflict through the provision of skills training to those who are affected by the armed conflicts.

In his message addressed to the graduates, he said that he hopes that their productivity and employability will be increased and their lives will be better. According to him, this is what TESDA Abot Lahat is all about, to reach the unreached, serve the underserved and bring those in the margins into the mainstream of society.
