Personnel of the Aparri Polytechnic Institute (API) have participated in the simultaneous conduct of Coastal Clean Up

LOOK I Personnel of the Aparri Polytechnic Institute (API) have participated in the simultaneous conduct of Coastal Clean Up in Barangay San Antonio and Maura, in Aparri, Cagayan in celebration of the National Farmers’ and Fisherfolks’ Month.
The said initiative is in support to the advocacies of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and the Local Government Unit of Aparri to protect the sea from pollution. The group was able to gather more than six (6) sacks of garbage for proper disposal and buried biodegradable wastes.

3. Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP)
Sa mga gustong magsanay ng libre, tingnan lamang ang mga larawan para sa mga detalye ng nasabing scholarship programs.

Regional Director Archie A. Grande, CESO III also had a quick visit at the Bureau of Customs (BOC) in Aparri, Cagayan to follow-up the status of the five (5) units of vehicles to be donated by BOC to TESDA Region II.
 
The said vehicles will be used by the TESDA Technology Institutions in their automotive and land transport sector trainings and to ferry and transport supplies and materials including the personnel who will be conducting community-based trainings in the region.

Regional Director Archie A. Grande, CESO III, visited the Aparri Polytechnic Institute (API) last March 23, 2022.

He toured around the compound and checked on the facilities of the institution. RD Grande also discussed with Cagayan Provincial Director Romeo O. Talosig and Administrator Renato D. Ubiña the status of implementation of scholarship programs of API and the strategies it would adopt to achieve its targets for the year.

TESDA Trains Sanchez Mira residents in carpentary, distributes starter toolkits to scholars

Eighteen (18) residents of Sanchez Mira, Cagayan have benefitted from TESDA’s Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) scholarship in Carpentry NC II.
 
The said individuals who were trained by the Aparri Polytechnic Institute (API) had their Graduation Ceremony last February 17, 2022 at the Municipal Hall of the said town.
 
Provincial Director Romeo O. Talosig of TESDA Cagayan Provincial Office, API Administrator Renato Ubiña and Mayor Asela Sacramed spearheaded the awarding of Certificates of Completion to the graduates.
 
Moreover, they also lead the distribution of starter toolkits to the fifty (50) STEP scholars in Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II and Electronic Products Assembly and Servicing (EPAS) NC II who were also trained by API.

NOW IN APARRI POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE: Provincial Director Romeo O. Talosig personally distributed the toolkits of 23 trainees in Tailoring NC II under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP). He was assisted by Ms. Josephine N. Cabrera, Supervising TESD Specialist and Renato D. Ubiña, A.P.I.’s Vocational School Administrator III.


PD Talosig emphasized the proverb that Secretary Isidro S. Lapeña is advocating “Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”. Giving them food won’t allow them to sustain their daily living but teaching them how to fish will definitely give them a daily source of living. TESDA is equipping its trainees with skills in order for them to use as their source of income and these toolkits will help them as they start their new venture.


The toolkit is composed of the following: Portable Sewing Machine, Fabric cutting shears, Plastic Ruler, French Curve & Tailor’s L Square.
